In Defiance: Gaza Celebrates Eid Despite The Ruins

Thousands of people perform Eid Al Adha prayers in the north of Gaza despite the Israeli war of starvation and genocide.

And despite the mass debris, there is a deep-seated feelings among Palestinians that life must go on and the meek shall inherit the earth. Here as well, its a question of justice. This land is Palestinian, Muslim and Arab, not to be taken by Zionist invaders.

The Eid festivities are being celebrated all over the Gaza Strip, in towns, cities, villages, displacement centers. Its celebration amongst the rubble as a show of defiance that Gazans, Palestinians are here to stay.

In the case of the now destroyed Al Omari mosque  Eid prayers where held among the ruins induced through Israeli bombing and destruction.

Besides prayers there is celebration. Children in the courtyard of the Al Aqsa Martyers Hospital in Dier Al Balah enjoy the festive season of sacrifice.
