Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib defeated her Republican opponent in Michigan’s 12th congressional district election, securing a fourth term as the only Palestinian-American woman in the US Congress.

Her victory comes amid the backdrop of Israel’s war on Gaza, which has killed more than 43,000 Palestinians so far and has been diplomatically and militarily supported by the Biden-Harris administration for more than a year.

Tlaib has been a vocal critic of the war, calling for the US to withhold weapons from Israel.

Instagram Blocks Anas Al Sharif Despite 1.2M Followers

Al Jazeera journalist Anas Al Sharif writes that his account reached more than 1.2 million followers, and with a view rate exceeding one billion.

This sent alarm bells ringing for those who didn’t want the Palestinian voice heard. He pointed out that Meta blocked his Instagram account and closed it completely.

Al Sharif, a journalist from Jabalia, has covered the Israeli war on Gaza ever since the genocide, reporting from different areas.

Today, he is stationed in the north of Gaza reporting on the latest Israeli siege to starve the people in this part of the Strip and force them to leave to the south.

In Palestine. It was the picture of Faris Odeh, he just turned 14 years old. His defiance and courage, we learn from.

He was killed 10 days after this photo was taken by an Israeli soldier who shot him in the neck.
