Hamas Puts 500 Israeli Armored Vehicles Out

Over 500 Israel armored vehicles have been damaged in the war on Gaza ever since 7 October, 2023 according to a report in the Jewish daily Maariv.

It reports a “few dozen” of these have been destroyed. Depending which site you are following, one added most of these have been repaired, and no doubt put back into service.

As expected, the report is making headways on the social media with more comments likely in the following days.

According to Anadolu, the Israel military established two logistics centers in Gaza to repair vehicles damaged in its war with Hamas and the other Palestinian resistance movement.

It adds the Israeli report also says the troops responsible for transporting the vehicles are said to be physically and mentally fatigued,” adding: “If they are called upon to occupy southern Lebanon, they will be there, but not in their best condition.”

Border tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon have increased over the past few weeks, with fears of an all-out war, the Turkish news agency adds, whilst maintaining that the Gaza war consumed far more weapons than the Israeli army expected, and usage remains high.

The supply of US weapons to Israel became a source of tension between the two allies after Netanyahu accused President Joe Biden of withholding weapons.

24 Killed in Shati Camp in Fog of Smoke

Israel is relentless in its bombings. Today is the turn of Al Shati Camp in the center of Gaza. It is part of the continual Israeli massacres that took away 41 lives combined with the devastating military actions in Al Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City.

Israeli bombardments resulted in the further destruction of one area of the Al Shati Camp where strikes took the lives of 24 people.

While the missiles were striking scores of civilians, mostly women and children were heard in a videoclip screaming in a fog of cement and soot as Israeli warplanes bombed three residential buildings.

Men and women were scurrying carrying children that were either killed and/or injured.

Another harrowing experience for the people of Gaza, the Israeli attacks on the camp is trending in opaque videos and images.

Armenia Recognizes Palestinian State

The republic of Armenia is the latest country to recognize the independent state of Palestine.

“Always being a support of two-state solution in Israeli-Palestinian conflict Armenia made a decision to recognize the independent state of Palestine,” wrote the Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vohan Kostanyan on his X account.

This recognition follows similar declarations last month by Slovenia, Spain, Norway and Ireland further bolstering international support for Palestinian statehood, reported Wafa.

The official recognition by Armenia raises the number of countries that recognize Palestinian statehood to 149 out of 193 member states of the UN General Assembly added the Palestinian news agency.

“The catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and the ongoing military conflict is one of the primary issues on the international political agenda that requires resolution,” said the MFA in a statement.

“The Republic of Armenia categorically rejects the targeting of civilian infrastructures, violence against the civilian population and the hostage-taking and capture of civilians during the armed conflict and joins the demands of the international community for their release without preconditions,” it added.

In response to the recognition, Israel’s Foreign Ministry summond the Armenian Ambassador to Israel for a “stern reprimand, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The ministry said Armenia earlier supported the UN General Assembly resolutions calling for an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has killed more than 37,000 Palestinians since last October as reported in Anadolu.

Israel Destroyed 67% of Gaza’s Sanitation

About “67% of water, sanitation facilities and infrastructure have been destroyed or damaged” in the Gaza Strip since 7 October, the UN Relief Agency for Palestine (UNRWA) stated Wednesday.

There is neither water nor sanitation in the whole of the Gaza Strip. With sewers destroyed, filthy water run in the streets and neighborhoods that have been destroyed.

The agency emphasized the urgent need for action according to a press statement published in Anadolu.

“As infectious diseases continue to spread and temperatures rise, the lack of hygiene and dehydration pose a severe threat to the health of people across Gaza,” it wrote on X.

UNRWA plays a vital role in providing life-saving services to registered Palestine refugees; however, the recent destruction of essential infrastructure in Gaza exacerbates an already precarious situation, leaving many without access to clean water and sanitation facilities, the Turkish news said.

Flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, Israel has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since the 7 October attack by Hamas.

Nearly 37,400 Palestinians have since been killed in Gaza, most of them women and children, and more than 85,400 others injured, according to local health authorities.

More than eight months into the Israeli war, vast tracts of Gaza lay in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.

Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its operation in Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
