UNRWA’s Media Advisor Adnan Abu Hasna told Al Jazeera and as stated by Palestine Chronicle that the UN agency always provides the Israeli army with the coordinates of the schools but to no avail.

This was supposed to be a “safe area” as designated by the Israeli army but it continues to be bombed just the same.

The school, located in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, provides shelter for thousands of displaced families who have come hear from all around Gaza and clearly bears UNRWA markings.

The faces of horror ensues amidst the dozens of casualties at the Al-Nuseirat UNRWA school following the deliberate sraeli occupation bombing that repeated the massacres of displaced Palestinians happening elsewhere in the Gaza Strip.

“All of the school is a mass of different human pieces, legs, arms, heads, and children cut to pieces and martyrs which you can’t count,” one displaced shouts on top of his head.

He is repeating what everybody else is saying. All you hear is screams and endless wailing seconds after the Israeli missile landed in the middle of the school.

The school has become chaos with people running around shouting about the other men, women and children who were just killed and murdered. “Look, look around you,” one says. “Look at the bodies, cut to pieces.”

A child was buried alive in the latest attack. After frantic digging inside the school, ordinary people and civil defense brought out the child alive amidst the caked rubble and cement that surrounded his body.

UNRWA in Desperate Need of Cash

The UN chief, Friday, appealed to everyone to protect the United Nations Works and Relief Agency for Palestine Refugees and its staff, saying there is “no alternative to UNRWA”.

“My appeal to everyone is this: Protect UNRWA, protect UNRWA staff, and protect UNRWA’s mandate – including through funding,” Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told a pledging conference at the UN headquarters in New York aimed at increasing contributions to the UN agency that looks after Palestinian refugrees.

“Without the necessary support and financing to UNRWA, Palestine refugees will lose a critical lifeline and the last ray of hope for a better future,” he said according to Anadolu news.

Guterres said it is the time to “bring an end to this terrible war, starting with an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza and an immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.

Ultimately, only a political solution can bring an end to this conflict – one that realizes a vision of two States – Israel and Palestine – living side by side in peace and security, with Jerusalem as the capital of both states,” he said.

Speaking at the same conference, UNRWA’s head Philippe Lazzarini said the agency is “staggering under the weight of relentless attack in Gaza”.

“ Gaza is decimated. More than two million people are trapped in a living hell. They have been displaced repeatedly across a ravaged and increasingly lawless territory. Children and women are bearing the brunt of this brutal war. Acute food insecurity is claiming the lives of children and severely affecting women who often eat last and least,” he told the pledging conference.

He recalled that 195 UNRWA workers were killed in Israeli attacks and nearly 190 installations damaged or destroyed, killing more than 500 people seeking UN protection.

Lazzarini said UNRWA is appealing for $1.2 billion for the occupied Palestinian territory emergency to cover critical humanitarian needs until the end of the year.

“This appeal, and the emergency appeal for Syria, Lebanon and Jordan are less than 20 percent funded,” he continued, the Turkish news agency stated.

Riyad Mansour, Palestine’s UN envoy, told the conference that the past nine months have been “long,” “painful,” and “harrowing”.

“There is nowhere safe for our refugees to turn in Gaza, as the Secretary General has indicated, not even under the UN flag, as schools continue to be targeted and bombed by the Israeli occupying forces in one attack after another, adding to the casualties, destruction and the traumas forced upon our people, 40,000 Palestinian children,” Mansour said.

Four schools in Gaza have been directly hit in the last four days with people continuing to flee from one place to another looking for safety but nowhere is safe in Gaza.

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini confirms that since the beginning of this war two-thirds of UNRWA schools in Gaza were attacked, some were bombed out and many severely damaged.

“Some have gone from safe places of education and hope for children to ocercrowded shelters and often ending up a place of death and misery,” he wrote.

“Nine months under our watch, the relentless, endless killing, destruction and despair continue. Gaza is no place for children. The blatant disregard of international humanitarian law can’t become the new normal.”

Lazzarini ends by urging for a “ceasefire now before we lose what is left of our common humanity.”

New Palestinian Exodus! But to Where?

A new Palestinian exodus is being forced but to where? Nobody knows! Palestinians in different neighborhoods of Gaza City are picking up what little left of their belongings and are on the move again.

Thousands of Palestinian families are fleeing their homes in Gaza City amid relentless Israeli occupation bombardment and the threat of imminent invasion.

The Israeli army threatened thousands of displaced Palestinians in Tuffah and Daraj neighborhoods to immediately evacuate and flee at the end of Israeli missiles and bombardment of already ruined homes that are in complete wreckage.

To make sure thousands started moving an Israeli occupation warcraft targeted the home of the Hallou family in the Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City. The home was previously targeted but no matter.

This time the bodies of more family members did not make it. They join other members of the family who are under the rubble.

This is part of the intense attack the city is being subjected to with firebombings in the Tafah, Sabra and Al Daraj neighborhoods, east of Gaza, to force force hundreds of families once more to move out of their homes.

Israeli shelling have also targetted the vicinity of the Bank of Palestine in Gaza City.

This is regarded as the biggest onslaught with Israeli warplanes launching as well, massive airstrikes on the once-plush neighbourhood  al-Remal in the city.

The Israeli military crackdown on civilians begun in the early hourse of Monday morning. “Our forces are now operating in Gaza City, including at the UNRWA headquarters, after intelligence information” an Israeli army announced.
