Gaza Hunger

Numerous human rights organizations have accused Israel of deliberately obstructing aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza during the war, thereby using starvation as a weapon of war.

\UNRWA has said that people in Gaza are so hungry that they are increasingly “scavenging through weeks-old waste” to find something to eat.

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) also reiterated that the lack of aid entering Gaza is forcing Palestinians to search through the rubble of destroyed buildings for basic necessities, putting them at risk of death or injury from unexploded bombs.

A DRC report revealed that 23% of surveyed people knew someone who had been injured or killed by unexploded bombs, including children who had played with them and people mistakenly picking them up when gathering firewood.
