The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported that Israeli soldiers at Kamal Adwan Hospital subjected women to extreme sexual violence, forcing them to strip under threats and insults. One nurse was forced to remove her pants, and when she resisted, a soldier slapped her and placed his hand on her, causing a nosebleed.
In another case, a soldier tore off a woman’s abaya after she refused to remove her hijab, exposing parts of her body. Another woman was told, “Take it off, or we’ll do it by force.” Girls under 20 were specifically targeted, with soldiers forcing them to remove their clothing under threat, physical abuse, and sexual harassment.
