Official Palestinian figures show that 70 Palestinians have been killed and others wounded by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of 2026.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health, in a statement published on its Telegram channel and reported by Sanad News Agency on Monday, said that the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army and settler fire since the beginning of 2026 until Monday morning reached 70, including 17 children, 5 women, and 2 elderly people.
In a separate statement, the Ministry of Health announced that it had been informed by the General Authority for Civil Affairs of the deaths of 15-year-old Reda Sami Hassan Awad and 19-year-old Issa Arafat Ismail Awad, who were killed by Israeli army fire at dawn on Monday in Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.

A Palestinian child and a young man were killed, and two other young men were wounded, early Monday morning, by Israeli occupation forces near the settlement of Karmei Tzur, built on privately owned Palestinian land north of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.
Cities and villages in the West Bank are witnessing a continuous escalation of violence due to Israeli attacks carried out by the occupation army and settlers. These daily incursions include killings, arrests, house demolitions, and attacks on property and holy sites.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that the Israeli army and settlers carried out 1,659 attacks during May, with 1,108 attacks by the army and 551 by settlers.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli military aggression in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, has resulted in the martyrdom of 1,171 Palestinians. Among them are women and children, and 12,666 others were injured to varying degrees, in addition to the arrest of about 23,000 and the displacement of 33,000, according to Palestinian data.
