Amidst Death, Palestinians Celebrate in Group Wedding!

It’s day 198 of the supposed ceasefire in Gaza, yet Israel continues to violate it on a wide scale. The Israeli army continues to blow up homes and residential buildings all over the Gaza Strip and kill its people.

The recent death is of Naya Al Tanani, a child from north Gaza. She finally succumbed to her injuries after shelling by the Israeli army of the place she lived.

Her tragedy reflects what continues to happen to the Palestinians of Gaza. On Friday, 13 people were killed, including a woman and three children in addition to a number of injuries some of whom are critical.

Today, Saturday, the Israeli war machine continued bombing eastern areas of the Al Maghazi Camp in the central Gaza Strip. Media reports shows Israeli gunboats were firing on the beaches of Gaza City at the same time.

This is in addition to the fact that Israeli drones dominated the skies of Khan Younis that was also being bombed from the ground through Israeli tanks that today continue to surround the city.

Despite the violent tensions however, there was a “happy occasion” in the central city of Dier Al Balah, Friday night, when 300 brides and grooms tied the knot in a spectacular “group wedding,” the second of its kind to be held recently.

“Only the Palestinians can do this, amidst war, destruction and Israeli tanks,” one observer said definitely.

Tens of Gaza Police, in full spick and span uniforms, were there  to make sure the wedding event was properly organized and went smoothly.

The Palestinian police are continually being targeted on the Gaza Strip. On Friday, a police car was hit in Khan Younis by an Israeli drone and five officers killed. Similarly, a police patrol was targeted in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City where two officers were martyred.

The Gaza Police Directorate has called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop targeting the civilian police. Since 10 October, 2025 when the ceasefire took effect, 27 policemen were killed and tens of injured.

B’Tselem: Israel Killed 54 Palestinian Children in 2025; Its Killing The Highest Number Since 1967

Israeli soldiers killed 54 Palestinian children and youths in the West Bank in 2025 according to the B’Tselem organization.

In a full report it released, Monday, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights  states that from 7 October 2023 to 28 June 2026, Israel killed 1,086 Palestinians in the West Bank; 241 of them children and teenagers.

It states further that nearly one in every four Palestinians killed by Israel in the West Bank in this period was a minor with B’Tselem adding that this is the highest rate of Palestinian children and teenagers killed in the West Bank since Israel occupied the territory in 1967.

“The widespread, unprecedented killing of Palestinian children and teenagers in the West Bank is the result of a broader Israeli policy that enables the killing of Palestinians with virtually no accountability. When the military commander of the area boasts that Israel is killing Palestinians ‘like we haven’t killed since 1967,’ he is confirming exactly that: The system does not merely back those who pull the trigger – it effectively grants them a license to kill,” the B’Tselem Executive Director Yuli Novak pointed out.

The report shows that the killing of Palestinian children and teenagers in the West Bank is not the result of isolated mistakes or violations of military orders. It is the outcome of an Israeli policy that expands the circumstances in which soldiers are permitted to shoot and kill, including children; backs those who use lethal force; labels Palestinians killed as “terrorists” even when they posed no threat to anyone; and almost never holds the perpetrators to account.

These findings are commensurate with recent remarks by the head of the Israeli military’s Central Command, Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, who boasted that Israel is killing Palestinians in the West Bank “like we haven’t killed since 1967,” and presented the high number of fatalities as an achievement.

Despite the scale of the killings, B’Tselem is not aware of a single indictment filed in Israel since October 2023 in connection with the killing of Palestinians in the West Bank. This includes cases in which the victims were children and teenagers.

The report also found that in nearly one-quarter of the cases documented by B’Tselem in 2025, Israeli forces delayed or prevented medical teams or local residents from reaching wounded children and teenagers to provide life-saving assistance. In addition, Israel is still withholding the bodies of 18 of the 54 children and teenagers killed in 2025.

The killings in the West Bank cannot be separated from Israel’s killing of more than 21,000 Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip. By allowing Israel to kill on such a scale in Gaza without consequences, the international community has effectively given it a green light to pursue the same lethal policy in the West Bank. As long as Israel continues to enjoy near-total impunity in the world, the lives of Palestinians – including children – will remain unprotected and exposed.

Palestine Slams Israeli Plans to ‘Ok’ 100 Settlements on The West Bank

Palestine on Tuesday strongly condemned Israel’s illegal settlement plan targeting about 100 locations inside the so-called Area A in the occupied West Bank.

“The move represents an additional development in Israeli colonial thinking and a blatant violation of international law and signed agreements,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry described the plan as “a systematic war crime” aimed at imposing new facts by force on occupied Palestinian land, undermining security and stability, and destroying the foundations of the two-state solution.

“Israel has no sovereignty over any part of the occupied Palestinian territory,” it said. “The occupation and settlement activity in all forms have no legitimacy and constitute a crime under international law, international consensus and UN resolutions.”

“Israel’s continued illegal occupation and colonial settlement system are the root of suffering and the main reason for the absence of security and peace in the Middle East,” the ministry continued.

It called on the international community and UN institutions, including the Security Council, to take practical deterrent measures to stop colonial settlement and compel Israel, as the occupying power, to comply with international law and UN resolutions.

The ministry also called for implementing the 2024 advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, forcing Israel to abandon its colonial plans and abide by signed agreements, in a way that guarantees an end to the Israeli occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Israeli occupier groups are said to have prepared a plan to seize 100 strategic locations in the Palestinian Authority-administered Area A of the occupied West Bank.

The Israel Hayom newspaper said the plan, prepared by the Settler Farms Association and the Havat (Farms) Forum, aims to fundamentally reshape the map of the occupied territory.

The proposal outlines a mechanism for deploying forces to approximately 100 strategic sites in the West Bank on what it describes as an “execution day.”

The locations are located in Area A, which, under the 1995 Oslo II Accord, is under the administrative and security control of the Palestinian Authority.

The Israeli army carries out near-daily raids in West Bank cities and towns, often involving arrests, field interrogations and home searches.

Israel was established in 1948 on lands occupied by armed Zionist groups that carried out massacres and displaced at least 750,000 Palestinians. It later occupied more territories and refused to withdraw or allow the establishment of a Palestinian state.
