This historical photograph shows the Jaffa railway station, which opened in 1892 as part of the first railway line connecting Yafa and Jerusalem. It is considered one of the earliest railway stations in Palestine and the Middle East. Work on the project began in 1889, financed and managed by a French company, and it was officially opened on September 26, 1892. The Yafa-Jerusalem line was approximately 87 kilometers long and represented a significant leap forward in connecting the Palestinian coast to the Holy City. The station was built in the historic city of Yafa. The photograph shows the station buildings with their distinctive architectural design and the railway lines in front of them. The Unholy Trinity

This photograph was taken in Jerusalem in 1925. In the center is Lord Arthur Balfour, author of the infamous promise made by Britain in 1917 to the Zionists to establish a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine. To his right is General Edmund Allenby, the British commander who entered Jerusalem with his forces after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The third is Sir Herbert Samuel, the Zionist, the first High Commissioner appointed by Britain as the ruler of Palestine in 1920.

Without these men, the State of Israel would not exist today.
