A second French national was killed in Lebanon as Israel continues its attacks on the country, according to French Foreign Ministry. The announcement came, Sunday, just as French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot arrived in Beirut for talks with government officials and to deliver humanitarian aid.
“We confirm the death of a second French national,” the Foreign Ministry stated, withholding further details. This latest news follows the death of an 87-year-old French woman last Monday, whose home collapsed after being targeted by an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon according to the Quds News Network.
Violence continues to escalate as Israeli airstrikes intensify across the region. On Sunday, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported that 32 people were killed and 53 injured in an Israeli massacre in Ain al-Dilb, a neighborhood east of Saida in southern Lebanon. The airstrike targeted a building in the village of Al-Maghara, near the Al-Furqan mosque, causing the structure to collapse and resulting in significant casualties. The massacre was one among several other Israeli attacks across the country that left dozens of casualties.
