‘No Date Set For US Visit’: Netanyahu Hints at Differences With Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that no date has been set for his planned visit to Washington, while also acknowledging that he has differences with US President Donald Trump.

“There may be differences of opinion, but we usually discuss them in an open dialogue,” Netanyahu said in interview with Fox News.

“We have not yet set a date for the visit, but I would like to see peace achieved with Lebanon,” he stated according to Anadolu.

On Iran, Netanyahu said Tehran “is not a friend” of Washington, adding that Iran “must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons or the means to deliver them.”

The US and Israel accuse Iran of pursuing nuclear and missile programs that they say threaten Israel and US allies in the region.

Iran denies seeking nuclear weapons, insisting its nuclear program is exclusively peaceful.

On June 17, Iran and the US reached a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending their military conflict that started on Feb. 28.

It provides a framework for addressing outstanding issues between Washington and Tehran through negotiations, including a cessation of hostilities, sanctions relief, the nuclear file, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and broader regional security arrangements.

CROSSFIREARABIA — Three Palestinian families, comprising 13 people, have remained trapped in their homes for 11 days in the town of Qusra in the occupied West Bank, amid an ongoing siege by Israeli forces and settlers.

The families have been confined to their homes in the Ras Al-Ain area since 9 August, with their access to food, water and other basic necessities severely restricted.

Israeli forces have declared the area a closed military zone, while settlers have established a presence around the properties. Local residents fear the move is intended to force the families from their homes and pave the way for the establishment of a new settlement outpost on their land.

Qusra Mayor Abdul Azim Al-Wadi said Israeli soldiers and settlers continue to surround the homes, preventing the families from moving freely.

“The three families are facing difficult conditions due to the continued siege and restrictions on their movement,” Al-Wadi said.

According to reports, Israeli soldiers also entered one of the Palestinian homes and turned it into a military position, while settlers erected tents around the properties, further restricting the residents’ ability to leave.

The standoff has heightened fears among residents that the families are being subjected to sustained pressure to abandon their homes and land.

Qusra, south of Nablus, has repeatedly been the scene of confrontations and settler attacks, reflecting the growing tensions facing Palestinian communities in parts of the occupied West Bank. For further details, see The Palestine Chronicle.
