A painting by the Jordanian artist Mona Saudi (1945-February 16, 2022), who joined the Palestinian revolution and headed the Fine Arts Department of the PLO’s Unified Media Office in the 1970s.
She was accused of attempting to assassinate former Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion in 1969.
Saudi worked to teach art to children in the Baqa’a refugee camp in Jordan in the late 1960s, and published their drawings in the “Children’s Testimony in Wartime” book that was published in 1970.
