France: Free Dr. Hussam Abu Safiye!

France has joined international demands for the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiye, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Gaza Strip, who was detained by Israel, Foreign Ministry spokesman Pascal Confavreux said Thursday.

Confavreux told reporters that France was aware of calls for Abu Safiye’s release.

“In view of the extremely worrying information about his state of health, France joins international calls for his release on humanitarian grounds,” he said according to Anadolu.

Confavreux said the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement should begin and that the Israeli army should withdraw from the territory.

Abu Safiya was arrested Dec. 27, 2024, after the Israeli army raided the facility and forced him out at gunpoint after destroying the complex and putting it out of service.

Poll: 3 in 10 Americans Believe Israel Committed Genocide in Gaza

Nearly three years into Israel’s genocidal war on Palestine’s Gaza, only one-fifth of US adults believe Israel has not committed genocide against Palestinians, according to a new AP-NORC poll.

About three in 10 Americans say it has, while roughly half say they do not know enough to say. Among Jewish Americans, 30% believe Israel has committed genocide, while 49% disagree. The poll also highlights a sharp partisan divide, with 52% of Democrats describing Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide, compared with just 13% of Republicans.

Since October 2023, Israel’s military attacks on the Palestinian enclave have killed more than 73,000 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, with more than 1,000 killed since the October 2025 ceasefire deal took effect according to TRTworld.

Israel Forces Man, His Son to Tear Down Their Homes

CROSSFIREARABIA – The Israeli Municipality in occupied Jerusalem forces, Wednesday night, a Palestinian man and his son to demolish their homes in Silwan which lies to the west of the Al Aqsa Mosque. Ahmad Noman Al Abbasi and his son, Zeid in the Sweih neigbourhood of Silwan were given the order on the alleged grounds that they hadn’t be given license to build their homes. The homes are built on 140 square meters and that the family had already been fined 130,000 shekels by the municipality. The Al Abbasi family started to tear down their homes to avoid paying more hefty fines according to the Palestine Information Center. Zeid was preparing to get married.
