Martyred After Engaging An Israeli Force
From al Sabeel
Sources in the Gaza Strip revealed that Palestinian woman Samah Mar’i al-Arabeed (al-Khalidi), wife of Internal Security officer Mu’in al-Arabeed, confronted an Israeli special forces unit that stormed the family home west of Gaza City, along with two of her sons, in an attempt to provide cover for her husband’s withdrawal. Press sources reported that al-Arabeed, 47, was preparing for her son Ubaida’s wedding when the Israeli special forces unit stormed the family home west of Gaza City. She and two of her sons, who sustained serious injuries, engaged the force in a firefight to cover her husband’s escape. She was killed after being struck by heavy gunfire that hit various parts of her body. The family revealed details of what they described as the wife’s “heroic and great sacrifice,” noting that the confrontation resulted in her two sons sustaining serious and critical injuries, while her husband and several of his companions were arrested.
