CROSSFIREARABIA – 50,000 Palestinians performed the Friday prayers in Al Aqsa Mosque despite the strict entry into the holy compound imposed by the Israeli occupation army. Those who wanted to perform the prayers came from all over the West Bank and masses of people entered the mosque despite the fact that Israeli soldiers checked every single one of their IDs.
Dr. Marwan Asmar holds a PhD from Leeds University and is a freelance writer specializing on the Middle East. He has worked as a journalist since the early 1990s in Jordan and the Gulf countries, and been widely published, including at Albawaba, Gulf News, Al Ghad, World Press Review and others.
CROSSFIREARABIA – The Religious Ministry in Gaza has succeeded in rehabilitating tens of mosques affected by the Israeli attacks on the enclave. And this is despite the fact that there is depletion in construction material. All mosques in Gaza – 1275 – were affected, including the Al Omari Great Mosque which is the oldest in Gaza City. Media Officer in the Ministry Ikrami Al Mudalal said the ministry worked, and with limited resources to expand 17 temporary prayer halls, rehabilitated 15 mosques and renovated 51 prayer halls. Al Mudalal added the occupation has not stopped wanting to destroy mosques, the last one – the Mutaqeen Mosques in west Gaza city – two weeks ago. He pointed out that of the 1275 mosques in Gaza, 1076 were totally destroyed.

Earlier Dr. Mark Perlmutter, a Jewish-American orthopedic and hand surgeon from North Carolina known for his humanitarian medical missions, publicly recounted witnesses at Nasser Hospital in Gaza told him they saw Israeli soldiers bury two bound children alive in a mass grave using a bulldozer.
He said the children were later found with their hands tied behind their backs after the grave was excavated. He added that further evidence has since been compiled and that the account is among the evidence being pursued before the International Court of Justice.
