Tents by The Sea!
CROSSFIREARABIA – This time there is no commentary from Ibrahim Isam like he usually provides
However Maryanne Sanders wrote on his page:
This is a truly real photo Ibrahim. It shows us your daily reality – the tents, the density of people. Where is the personal escape? Maybe the sea. May normality return soon.
Another, Kholoud Hamatto said:
Usually, summer is a time to enjoy the sea and sunshine and create beautiful memories… Yet our people are forced to live in tents on the beach, deprived of the most basic necessities of human life, privacy, and dignity.
How can a place meant for joy and respite become a shelter? Hasn’t the time come for these chapters of our Nakba to end, and for our people to reclaim their right to a safe, dignified, and humane life?
Bernadette Dunn lamented:
At a quick first glance of the Gaza shoreline it almost appears as a type of festive gathering with lots of people and a rainbow of colorful tents.
Once one picks up the phone to see the real picture it becomes all too clear that this scene is anything but festive.
I have no words except to express my sorrow and shame that this is the reality of the lives of Gaza and it’s people today.
I’m sorry you all are living this nightmare while the
stands by and does nothing.
I’m ashamed to be witness to this. I’m ashamed that my country (USA) is so involved in causing and perpetuating the suffering of the Palestinians and the destruction of your homeland.
I pray
for change to come fast.
I pray that the world’s “leaders” will come to it’s or our senses and STOP this genocide.
A third year of this insane genocide will begin in less than one month as innocent people continue to be slaughtered and what little remains of the infrastructure of Gaza is bombed, burned and bulldozed down.
Dear God
before another funeral or another child dies by a sniper’s bullet before she attends her first day of school make this travesty end. Gaza deserves to live.
Let the healing begin
