Over 4,200 settlers storm Al-Aqsa compound: More than 4,200 Israeli settlers, alongside members of the Israeli Knesset, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem on Thursday to mark Tisha B’Av, one of the largest incursions this year, according to the Jerusalem Governorate. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir also entered Al-Aqsa under heavy police protection. Ben-Gvir praised the people who took over the site, saying they “felt like owners.” As part of the incursion, Israeli forces restricted Palestinian worshippers’ access to the site, and assaulting several of them.
