Moroccans protested in Rabat in front of the parliament building, Friday, to condemn the Israeli genocide on the Gaza Strip ongoing now for 14 months.
The “Working Group for Palestine”, a non-governmental group, organized the protest to condemn the Israeli genocide in Gaza and in which dozens of participants carried pictures of Al-Aqsa and the Palestinian flag.

The protesters in front of the parliament building also condemned “Israel’s continued defiance of all international resolutions, including the International Criminal Court’s decision” regarding the arrest of the Israeli Prime Minister and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant,” according to Anadolu.
Israel continues its massacres, ignoring two arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court on 21 November against Netanyahu and ex-Defense Minister Galant, on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza.
The protesters chanted slogans praising the Palestinian resistance, and others criticizing the continued Western support for Tel Aviv despite the genocide that has been ongoing for more than a year.
Among these slogans were “Long live the resistance… long live Palestine”, “We are all ready to sacrifice for steadfast Palestine”, “From Rabat to Gaza… resistance and pride”, and “Loyalty… to the blood of the martyrs”.
The participants raised banners reading “the Moroccan people demand the dissolution and cancellation of the seductive Israeli parliamentary group”, and “Normalization is a crime and treason”.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since 7 October, 2023, leaving more than 150,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and elderly people, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
Israel continues its massacres, ignoring the UN Security Council’s decision for their immediate end, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Szejna said Thursday, his country is ready to cooperate with the International Criminal Court regarding the implementation of arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“The Polish Foreign Ministry has adopted an interpretation that states that Poland, like the other 124 member states of the Rome Statute, is obligated to cooperate with the International Criminal Court to implement the court’s orders and in its name, not in the name of the states,” Szejna added.

“Immunity and sovereignty that are usually used in international relations between states do not apply to this case,” he stressed.
“Poland considers the International Criminal Court an essential element of international criminal justice and international relations based on law,” the Polish Foreign Minister added.
“Poland’s position is clear. Poland respects the decisions of the International Criminal Court and will implement them,” he continued.
The Commission of the European Union previously stated that it “supports the International Criminal Court, and all EU countries are obligated to implement the arrest warrants issued against Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant.”
The ICC issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Galant, accusing them of “committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in oIsrael’s] war on the Gaza Strip.”
The Israeli occupation army, supported by the United States and Europe, continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 426th consecutive day, as its warplanes bomb the vicinity of hospitals, buildings, towers and homes of Palestinian civilians, destroying them over the heads of their residents, and preventing the entry of water, food, medicine and fuel.
The ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan is urging its member countries to implement the arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Galant.

Israel attacked on Thursday a report by human rights group Amnesty International accusing Tel Aviv of committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The UK-based organization said early Thursday that it has found “sufficient basis to conclude that Israel has committed and is continuing to commit genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.”
“Israel has unleashed hell and destruction on Palestinians in Gaza brazenly, continuously, and with total impunity,” the rights group said.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry called the Amnesty report “deplorable and fanatical,” and “entirely false and based on lies.”
The ministry claimed that Israel’s deadly offensive in Gaza, where nearly 44,600 have been killed, mostly women and children, was in “self-defense and in accordance with international law.”
Israel launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip following an attack by Hamas in October 2023, despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.
The second year of the genocide in Gaza has drawn growing international condemnation, with officials and institutions denouncing the attacks and blocking of aid deliveries as a deliberate attempt to destroy the population according to Anadolu.
Last month, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
Nearly 70,000 Palestinians have been trapped for two months without access to food or medicine, as Israeli occupation forces continue to pursue them throughout the northern Gaza Strip. This ongoing situation has resulted in numerous deaths and forced displacements in what many consider one of the most horrific campaigns of genocide in modern history.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has received alarming reports about the dire situation facing the nearly 70,000 Palestinians who are trapped in the northern Strip. This follows the displacement of more than 150,000 people by the Israeli army since the onset of its most recent military operation in the north on 5 October 2024. Euro-Med Monitor notes that those who remain besieged are experiencing severe famine, as they have run out of all types of food and lack access to clean water. Many have gone days without eating or drinking anything. Meanwhile, Israeli bombings and other military operations continue, targeting shelters as well as what remains of previously destroyed homes.

Deliberate bombing
The Israeli army has deliberately bombed homes where civilians sought refuge. The most recent incident occurred on Sunday, when the occupation army targeted the Labad family home in Beit Lahia, resulting in the killings of 25 family members. Just two days earlier, Israeli forces also bombed three residential buildings in Jabalia and Beit Lahia, which belonged to the Baba, Al-Araj, and Ahmad families. This attack killed more than 120 residents, leaving an unknown number of victims still trapped under the rubble.

No one can rescue those stuck under the rubble due to the Israeli bombings, as Israel has been blocking civil defense teams in the northern section of the Strip from operating for 41 days now. Consequently, the injured are slowly dying without medical assistance, as they cannot be transported to hospitals, which are unable to function properly under such dire conditions and are frequently subjected to bombings. Furthermore, those who manage to survive their injuries and reach partially operational hospitals face the risk of being targeted by Israeli drones. Even if they do make it to a hospital, they may still die due to a lack of adequate treatment and insufficient medical personnel.
Numerous incidents have occurred in which Israel has used drones, including quadcopters, to target Palestinian civilians who were compelled to leave their homes or shelters in search of food or water.
The Israeli occupation army is committing severe crimes against civilians. Its attempts to completely eliminate the residents of the Jabalia refugee camp have included destroying homes using robots and booby-trapped barrels, in addition to dropping powerful American bombs. Despite Israeli forces’ awareness of the presence of residents in many of the homes and residential blocks, these sites are still being targeted.
The Israeli army has turned Jabalia Camp, the city of Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahia into piles of rubble, devastation, and total destruction, by wrecking, demolishing, and burning homes and shelters, and targeting all aspects of Palestinian life. As a result, even if the Israeli army withdraws from these areas, it will be nearly impossible for Palestinian civilians to return and live there safely.
The world witnesses these horrific crimes, yet no serious action has been taken to stop what is now considered to be one of the largest genocidal campaigns and humanitarian tragedies in modern times.
This international disregard for the victims constitutes an indelible stain on the forehead of the international community, which continues to exclude Palestinians from the protection of international law and its executive mechanisms. These mechanisms have failed to be applied effectively, due to political biases and international pressure. This situation reflects a global hypocrisy regarding the principles that the international legal system is built upon, demonstrating shameful double standards and a blatant violation of justice and humanity.
The international community’s hesitation to take decisive action in response to Israel’s violations in the Gaza Strip, particularly in the Strip’s northern regions, makes it complicit in these crimes. This inaction serves as a tacit approval for Israel’s actions, allowing it to continue escalating its campaign of genocide, and demonstrates a shocking disregard for the lives and dignity of Palestinians.
It is imperative that the United Nations and the international community intervene immediately to protect 10s of thousands of residents of northern Gaza who are in imminent danger, plus stop the ongoing genocide being perpetrated by Israel across the entire Gaza Strip for the second consecutive year. Actions should include imposing sanctions on Israel, implementing a comprehensive arms embargo, holding the country accountable for its actions, and taking all necessary measures to safeguard Palestinian civilians. Additionally, the enforcement of the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court against the Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of Defense must be prompt, ensuring their surrender to international justice.
CEOSSFIREARABIA – At first France said it would adhere to the decision of the International Criminal Court and arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he landed in Paris because he is wanted as a war criminal.
This angered Netanyahu. In a private telephone call with President Emmanuel Macron, the two leaders had a terse conversation on the international legality of the ICC decision. Netanyahu questioned its validity in the strongest manner.
While this was going on, France was interested in reaching a ceasefire deal on Lebanon and Hezbollah. Israel started another battle on its northern borders come mid-September and was busily attacking south Lebanon up to Beirut’s south district, seen as a Hezbollah stronghold.
The French government soon started its diplomacy and started to push for a ceasefire. Thus the context became that if France waived the Netanyahu arrest and that of his ex-Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, should they travel to France, a deal can be reached on Lebanon.
And thus a 60-day ceasefire was finally reached; this was a ceasefire that could be extended.
Meanwhile France needed to provide its pretext for “arresting/not arresting Netanyahu” if he landed in France. Excuses had to be made: Israel wasn’t privy to ICC decisions because it was not a signatory to the world body as well it was felt that that Netanyahu couldn’t be arrested because he was a sitting prime minister.
This meant that the whole issue was becoming very confusing. But the ICC decision was binding on all 124 of its members in the world that includes France which is bound to follow the decisions of the international court with no excuses!
This political diplomacy maybe water on a duck’s back because Netanyahu is still promising that he will go after Hezbollah soon ant that means an Israeli war on Lebanon is likely to start again in the near future.
But is this likely as well, since the north of Israel is clearly devastated and neither the Israelis nor their army would prefer to see war re-starts again. For the time being however, its touch and go.
