Hamas Hands Over 3 Israeli Prisoners Amidst Flurry of People

The Qassam Brigades handed over to the Red Cross, Thursday, the captive soldier Agam Berger, from the rubble of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, as part of the third batch of prisoner exchange according to the ceasefire agreement. Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades handed over the two prisoners it is holding, Arbel Yehud and Gadi Moses, to the Red Cross with their handover from in front of destroyed house of the late Yahya Sinwar’s in Khan Yunis.

The Qassam Brigades released the captive soldier Berger from Al-Razan Square in Jabalia camp, which witnessed major Israeli bombing and destruction as part of the bloody military operation launched by the occupation army, during which a large number of Israeli soldiers were killed and wounded.

The Israeli army announced it received soldier Agam Berger, saying she had arrived at the initial reception point in the so-called Gaza envelope and met with her family members.

The Al-Quds Brigades fighters were deployed in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, where the ceremony for the release of Yehud and Moses took place, while the Israeli occupation army radio said the Jihad movement was trying to “exploit the release of the two prisoners to show its strength in Khan Yunis.”

Hamas confirmed that “the large gathering of the masses of our Palestinian people in the two prisoner handover operations in the city of Khan Yunis and the Jabalia camp, amidst the rubble left by the Zionist fascism in the two areas, is a message of determination, strength and defiance that it raises in the face of this barbaric occupier, meaning that our people will remain on their land, and are determined to achieve their project of liberation, return and self-determination.”

The movement said in a press statement received by Quds Press, Thursday: “The Qassam Brigades and the Palestinian resistance prove once again their high ability to control the scene through organized handover operations that have dazzled the world, and after humiliating the criminal enemy army in the sands of Gaza.”

It pointed out “what happened today confirms the unity of the Qassam Brigades, the Al-Quds Brigades and the resistance forces in the field and in managing the exchange operation that took place in front of the house of the martyr leader Abu Ibrahim.”

It stressed “the diversity of the implementation of the release operations of Israeli prisoners from different areas of the Strip, in the steadfast Jabalia, in Khan Yunis and in front of the house of the martyr leader Yahya Sinwar, is a message to the world that our people will remain on their land, will continue the resistance, and are determined to liberate and return.”

Jabalia Steadfast in Face of Israeli Bombs

With the intensification of the Israeli bombing of northern Gaza and with a siege of more than 80 days now, especially of Jabalia, its camp and Beit Lahia, the resistance is using all available tools to counter the Israeli aggression despite  turning north Gaza into an eyesore of destruction and not a place for survival.

The resistance continues to show unparalleled bravery standing up Israeli soldiers who can be seen carrying their dead and wounded on a daily basis.

The Jabalia camp, one of the largest refugee camps in the Gaza Strip, reflects, with its history and reality, a miniature image of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Analysts point out the operations launched from Jabalia reflect the roots of the Palestinian struggle rooted in the camps since the Nakba in 1948.

“We are the ones who used to chase the Israeli patrol in our camp here (Jabalia) with the sticks”… This was one of the expressions used by martyr leader Nizar Rayyan inside the Jabalia camp. He was martyred in the first wars that the resistance fought with the Israeli occupation forces in 2008-2009, showing the bravery of the people of Jabalia and their legendary steadfastness in confronting the occupier.

“Just as we rubbed your noses in Ashdod, we will rub your noses in Jabalia,” Rayyan used to say.

While the 444 days of this rabid war on Gaza Strip should have been enough to end the resistance – according to Israeli and American thinking – the Al-Qassam and Al-Quds Brigades fighters in Jabalia say this is wishful thinking even if thousands of Mujahideens are killed, and the weapons run out as the recent stabbing operations show. These operations shouldn’t be interperated to mean as some suggest that weapons are running out for the enemy’s daily losses are not decreasing while the capabilities of the resistance are rising.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas military wing, announced Sunday, it targeted nine soldiers inside a house with a “TBG” shell west of Jabalia camp, confirming they have either been killed and/or wounded whilst stating it destroyed an Israeli troop carrier with a “commando” explosive device in the Al-Alami area in the center of Jabalia camp.

The brigades added that “a Zionist officer was sniped in Abu Al-Aish Street in the center of Jabalia camp, north of the Strip,” and said it targeted a second Israeli troop carrier with a “commando” explosive device west of Beit Lahia, north of the Strip.

As well last Friday, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced it carried out a complex operation in Jabalia camp; where one of its fighters advanced towards an Israeli sniper and his assistant, and stabbed them to death, adding the fighter wore the uniform of one of the dead, and an hour after the operation, he advanced towards an Israeli force of six individuals, and blew himself up with an explosive belt, killing and wounding its members.

Last Saturday, Al-Qassam Brigades announced on its Telegram channel its fighters carried out a complex operation, stabbing three Israeli soldiers to death, seizing their personal weapons, then storming a house where a foot force had taken cover, killing two of its soldiers at the house gate.

On Sunday, the Al Jihad Al-Quds Brigades stated that one of its heroic martyrs stormed a Zionist troop carrier and carried out a special operation by detonating a suicide bomb among the soldiers who were at the entrance to the Al-Awda Towers in Ezbet Beit Hanoun.

Military analyst Major-General Fayez Al-Duwairi says “zero distance” is a golden opportunity for resistance fighters in their confrontation with the occupation forces, given the big difference between the equipment of the Israeli army with its high capabilities, and the weapons made by al- mujahideen locally.

He added the more the intensity of the ground aggression and Israeli incursions into the Gaza Strip areas increases, the greater the resistance’s opportunity to engage directly with enemy forces.

Since the start of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, the resistance fighters have shown the most prominent of their weapons to target the Israeli enemy, including Al-Yassin 105 shells, tandem shells, sniper weapons, Shawaaz bombs and machine guns according to the Palestine Information Center.

However, the use of the stabbing weapon and explosive belts  which emerged in recent days to carry out martyrdom operations, indicates that the weapons used by the resistance are no longer as accessible as they were in the past, due to the tight siege imposed by the occupation, and the intensity of the operations carried out by the resistance fighters, which has led to the depletion of the battalions’ weapons stockpile.

The heroic operations carried out by the resistance fighters in northern Gaza over the past 80 days have resulted in the killing of more than 70 soldiers and officers in the occupation forces, in the Jabalia camp and camp alone, including the bombing of more than 100 military vehicles, 17 sniper operations, and 26 clashes with a foot force.

In a Yedioth Ahronoth interview with an Israeli officer he said the confrontation in northern Gaza these days is through the alleys, face to face with Palestinian fighters who do not fear death and refuse to be arrested.

Major-General Mohammed Al-Samadi believes that the significance of the stabbing operations and martyrdom operations in Jabalia confirms that the resistance is cohesive and strong, and adapts according to combat developments, and carries out hit-and-run operations, and carries out operations through small groups, including the lone wolf operations carried out by one of the mujahideen against the occupation forces, causing casualties and injuries in their ranks.

Al-Samadi added in an interview with Al Jazeera the resistance in northern Gaza has killed 17 soldiers through sniper operations, and that one fighter in the resistance factions can kill a group of individuals in the occupation forces, indicating that the occupation suffers from weak morale among its fighters, and also suffers from an intelligence failure in knowing the resistance’s tactics.

Palestinian Resistance Kill, Injure More Israeli Soldiers in North Gaza

The Al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad’s military wing, announced that its fighters detonated an explosive device among Israeli soldiers inside a tanker in Beit Hanoun, north Gaza, two days after a similar operation by the Al-Qassam Brigades was carried out

“One of our heroic martyrs was able to storm a Zionist troop carrier and carry out a qualitative operation by detonating an explosive device among the soldiers at the entrance to the Al-Awda Towers in the Beit Hanoun estate,” the Quds Brigade stated on its Telegram account.

Before that the Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades stated, Friday, that “a Qassam fighter was able to eliminate a Zionist sniper and his assistant this afternoon from zero distance in the Jabalia camp.”

It stated that an hour after that “the fighter disguised himself in the uniform of an Israeli soldier was able to reach a Zionist force of six soldiers and detonate himself using an explosive belt in the force, killing and wounding them.”

Further, the Al-Quds Brigades showed a videoclip of its fighters targeting Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the northern Gaza Strip, after seizing a drone and learning the coordinates of the occupation forces’ positioning.

Al-Qassam Brigades also broadcast scenes of its fighters confronting the Israeli occupation army and its vehicles in the axes it is stationed at in the northern Gaza Strip, and sent defiant messages through its field commanders.

Aside that, the Israeli Army Radio said three of its soldiers were injured – one in critical condition – in the explosion of an explosive device in a tank in the Gaza Strip.

The radio added that the soldiers were injury in an incident during a raid launched by the Harel Brigade in the central Gaza Strip Sunday.

This is while a reserve soldier was seriously injured during battles in the central Gaza Strip, an Israeli army spokesman confirmed.

The Palestinian resistance factions, led by the Al-Qassam Brigades, are launching special operations and engaging in fierce clashes against the occupation forces that have penetrated all parts of the Strip now, for more than a year, especially in the Jabalia camp in the north, where the Israeli army is involved in a continuing a military operation that has left dozens of martyrs and great destruction to homes and facilities according to Al Jazeera.

Palestinian Resistance Kill 4 Israeli Soldiers in Rafah Ambush

Four Israeli soldiers were killed in an ambush set up by the resistance in the south of the Gaza Strip. Also the resistance also carried out a qualitative operation against the Israeli occupation forces in the southern Gaza and bombed the sorrounding Israeli towns.

The Israeli media reported that four Israeli soldiers were killed in an ambush set up by the Qassam Brigades, the Hamas military wing in the southern city of Rafah Tuesday afternoon.

As well al Jihad Quds Brigades stated it “destroyed a Zionist Merkava tank east of Rafah by detonating a highly explosive barrel bomb,” and published scenes of its shelling of the cities of Ashkelon and Sderot, north of the Gaza envelope, with a barrage of rockets according to Al Jazeera.

Meanwhile, Hamas stated the occupation army committed a new massacre “by carrying out a brutal and intensive shelling that included a residential area crowded with residents east of the Al-Bureij camp, which led to the destruction of a number of homes over the heads of their residents and the deaths and injuries of dozens.”

The Gaza Ministry of Health also announced that the occupation forces committed, in the past 24 hours, three massacres in the enclave, of which 26 martyrs and 84 wounded arrived at hospitals, bringing the number of victims, since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza to 41,252 martyrs and 95,497 wounded.

In turn, Al Jazeera reported the martyrdom of journalist Mohammed Abu Shawqa in a bombing that targeted his home in Al-Bureij camp, and the recovery of the body of a martyr from the Wadi Gaza area, north of Al-Nuseirat camp, also in the central Strip.

Hamas confirmed “these heinous and repeated crimes show that the Israeli army  insist on its extermination war and the direct and deliberate targeting of defenseless civilians, amidst reprehensible global silence and a state of complete paralysis of the international system.”

It stressed “these ongoing massacres against the people of Gaza, which are being committed with the complicity and support of the US administration and western capitals, will not weaken the resolve and steadfastness of our Palestinian people or succeed in subduing their resistance, or bring the fascist Zionist clique closer to achieving the goals of its brutal aggression.”

With significant US support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has left more than 136,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine.

In disregard of the international community, Israel continues this war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Sniper’s Rifle Remains Axiom on Gaza’s Battlefield

Military expert Colonel Hatem Al-Falahi believes the axes of Al-Zeitoun neighborhood (southeast of Gaza City) and Tal Al-Hawa (southwest of Gaza City) are continually active with Palestinian groups putting up stiff resistance there and explains why the Israelis are faltering in their military operations in those areas.

Colonel Al-Falahi of Al Jazeera Satellite Channel made this observation as he commented on the joint operation between Al Jihad’s Saraya Al Quds and the Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades which led to the sniping of an Israeli soldier in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood.

As per Saraya Al-Quds video, it showed because the Israeli army is fighting from inside buildings, none of its soldiers are able to stick their heads out of the window and/or show their bodies completely.

In contrast, Colonel Al-Falahi says in an analysis of the military scene – the resistance groups are fighting from areas very close to the occupation army.

He said the recent  military operations carried out by the resistance show that the cooperation between the Palestinian factions have become great, especially between the two Islamists groups: Qassam Brigades and Saraya Al-Quds; adding this means they are work together as one unit and there is a joint operations room that coordinates the different military activities.

Sniper operations

Al-Falahi believes sniper operations have a very large impact, in terms of subject and psychology, on the occupation forces. He pointed out these are precise operations carried out against Israeli officers at high levels.

Colonel Al-Falahi recalled a previous report by the Hebrew daily Yedioth Ahronoth, which revealed that the Israeli army monitored the work of Palestinian snipers for 70 hours in the past and concluded a sniper in the Qassam Brigades and the rest of the factions take two or three days to monitor the target.

The daily stated these snipers have the capability to monitor their targets accurately, also concluding that snipers do not carry weapons during their movements, but rather, there are specific points where these are located in.

He pointed out snipers had a very large role in inflicting heavy losses on the occupation army in its war on the Gaza Strip, and added that at least 100 sniper operations have been carried out so far by Palestinian resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip.

The military and strategic expert confirmed that the resistance operations are still ongoing in Gaza, and the “sniper’s rifle” will remain operational for a long time, and the occupation army will not be able to remain in these areas no matter how much capabilities it has.

Resistance factions are fighting fierce battles with the Israeli occupation forces in different areas of Gaza. They have managed to kill Israeli soldiers in ambushes and clashed with them in the  combat axes in the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, the center and southern part of the Strip according to the Palestine Information Center.
