Military Eye: Israel, West Bank and Karamah’s Deadly Operation

Military and strategic expert Dr. Nidal Abu Zeid said the Karamah Crossing operation is casting its shadow over the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, as the occupation army from now may step up its security measures.

He pointing out to the repeated statements and warnings issued by the occupation army to its so-called home front point to the fact.

Abu Zeid added to the Jordan24 news website that the West Bank may witness martyrdom operations in the coming period in response to the increase security violations committed by the Israeli occupation.

Abu Zeid pointed out that the current calm and the decrease in the intensity of operations suggest that the occupation army is presently involved in intelligence gatherings to search for what he termed as “high-value targets.”

Regarding to what is happening in the West Bank, Abu Zeid pointed out that the Israeli occupation have already headed to the Balata camp in Nablus. He pointed out this indicates that occupation forces maybe now  heading towards the center of the West Bank, then towards the southern camps and finally target Hebron.

Who Has the Upper Hand in Gaza?

Strategic expert Dr. Nidal Abu Zeid said the ongoing operations in the Gaza Strip indicate two opposing scenes: The first to manage the defensive battle of the resistance and the second the offensive battle of the occupation army.

But he added the first scene can be described as escalating and the second as descending.

Abu Zeid added to Jordan24 the resistance has succeeded in managing an escalating defensive battle in a more professional manner and contributed to increasing the daily losses on the part of the occupation forces.

He explained that the resistance’s ability to adapt to the geography of the region has been great as witnessed in the battles of Tal al-Hawa and al-Zeitoun neighborhood. He noted that the mercurial movements of the resistance has confused the occupation forces after inflicting heavy losses on them.

Abu Zeid pointed out that the occupation is conducting an offensive battle in which there is a kind of confusion and hesitation, as the occupation army is unable to determine the directions of the attack and is unable to resolve the war despite the passage of 324 days of fighting.

He said this is due to the state of clear exhaustion in the Israeli combat units, as the 98th Paratroopers Division which has been fighting since the beginning of the military operation without stopping, and the 162nd Armored Division fighting in Rafah and has also fought in the north without stopping.

Media War: Israel Bombs More of Its Own Captives

Military expert Nidal Abu Zeid said the statement by the Israeli occupation forces of retrieving the bodies of captives is an ambiguous announcement that lacked clarity as conflicting reports continue regarding the method of retrieving the bodies bearing in mind they were found in the Hamad Residential City, west of Khan Yunis.

Israel falseness

Abu Zeid said the Israeli 98th Paratroopers Brigade fought in the area and withdrew from it last April. The resistance media, in a video clip, shows the falseness of what the Israeli army are saying and reinforces their view that it is Israeli warplanes that killed its own prisoners.

The military and strategic expert says it seems this happened last June based on tracking the timing of the Israeli army raids when it targeted Hamad Residential City then.

Abu Zeid pointed out the Palestinian resistance fighters and after 319 days of fighting, stripped the occupation’s concept of absolute victory that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about four months ago.

Absolute victory, no!

He added the Israeli occupation neither achieved a tactical victory and prevented the resistance from launching attacks, nor an operational victory and withered the resistance, nor of a strategic victory by eliminating the resistance.

Abu Zeid added an intelligence war is taking place behind the scenes between the resistance and Israel with the latter making strenuous efforts to recruit agents to access any information. He pointed out it indicates the Israeli occupation exhausted its “target bank” and lost its  intelligence ability to identify new targets.

Accept!

The occupation’s technical and technological intelligence is incapable of stripping the resistance of its capabilities in Information operations (IO) gathering that feed the implementations of the operations orders, which makes them operationally lost, he said.

This explains that the Israeli army is aware of this field reality and why is pushing its political leadership towards accepting the terms of the negotiations which they continue to reject, at least for the time being.

Abu Zeid also confirmed in his military analysis of the Gaza that the geographical triangle that includes Tel al-Hawa, Khan Yunis, Tel al-Sultan have become a major disturbance and it is why the Israeli army are trying to stay away from direct engagement with the resistance in these areas to avoid major losses. This explains the noticeable increase in the use of drones and aerial bombardment the strategic expert concluded according to the Khaberni news website.

Expert: Iran to Launch Strike on Israel Soon

Military expert Dr Nidal Abu Zeid said the resistance is provening it still has the ability to continue confronting the Israel occupation forces after 301 days. As evidence of that it launched a rockets barrage towards the Jewish settlements sorrounding Gaza from the southern region.

He added this is an area witnessing one of the largest military operations these days.

Abu Zeid added to Jo24 Israeli forces introduced a new brigade to fight in Gaza – so-called the Jerusalem Brigade affiliated to the Central Military Region – and not from the brigades of the Southern Military Region responsible for operations in Gaza.

Its confirms the extent of the attrition affecting the Israeli combat units from the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza, the military expert said.

Abu Zeid pointed out the Israeli occupation army withdrew its Seventh Brigade in east of Khan Yunis recently due to the heavy losses they incurred amongst their ranks and has instead deployed the Jerusalem Brigade.

The continuing media statements about Hezbollah and Iran’s response to the assassination of martyrs Ismail Haniyeh and Fouad Shukr confirms that its coming military action on Israel will not be delayed, he said.

Waiting for the hit

This is especially in light of the repositioning of the Hezbollah units in southern Lebanon, withdrawal of Iranian militias from Deir Ezzor, Syria and the fact that most airlines stopped their flights to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.

Abu Zeid explained the clip circulating about the explosion in the building where Ismail Haniyeh was in Tehran is not true. He noted this clip is an old one, published on the occupation army’s website targeting a house in Attara, north Ramallah.

He added the coincidence of its publication now with the New York Times item comes within Israel’s attempt to show the explosion was caused by a device placed inside the building where Haniyeh was staying.

Abu Zeid this is being stressed to shatter the image of Iranian intelligence and show its been compromised. He added however, all indications show the area targeted was by an advanced missile launched from outside Iran, specifically from a base in Azerbaijan.

Haniyeh’s Murder Will Not Flake The Resistance

The assassination of the Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniyeh, Wednesday, in Tehran shows there was a clear security breach, and Israel was looking for an opportunity to carry out the assassination and found it in the Iranian capital, said military and strategic expert Nidal Abu Zeid.

Although he didn’t elaborate on the security breach, he said the assassination will not have an impact on the war in Gaza, saying the Palestinian resistance will not be shaken by the martyrdom of one of its leaders, Abu Zaid told Jo24.

Hamas is an ideology that will continue and grow among the Palestinian masses despite the great sacrifices it makes. Already over 38,000 people have been killed in Gaza by Israeli warplanes, tanks and drones not to mention that over 90,000 injured.

These sacrifices by its  leaders and elements in the field of Palestinian fighters from different factions will only increase their will, determination and resolve, he added.

Abu Zeid expects the assassination of the Hamas leader who was elected to run the Hamas organization in 2017, will raise the level of military operations by the Palestinian resistance. He said revenge for the murder of Haniyeh who was killed along with one of the bodyguards on the streets of Tehran will not be delayed and Hamas along with its Izz Al Din Al Qassam military wing will respond quickly.

Abu Zeid explained that the resistance operations will continue to pressure the Israel military occupation, especially in northern Gaza, to withdraw the remaining units of the 98th Paratroopers Division, as happened lately in eastern Khan Yunis, and inspite of the new wave of continual civilian displacements from the city.

He predicted that the losses of the Israeli occupation forces will rise in the coming period, and that the Palestinian resistance will carry out operations that will surprise Israel with new tactics in light of the state of crisis and caution it is experiencing, especially after the unconvincing response in the southern suburb of Beirut and after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.

In a statement, Wednesday morning, Hamas said the assassination of chief of the political bureau was a “treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tahran.”

One of his body guards was also killed on the attack on his residence.

Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the inauguration of new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Tuesday. It was his first time to be seen in public.
