Israel Bombs Police Station, Kills Group of Officers

The Ministry of Interior in Gaza mourned a group of police officers killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a police station in Gaza City, Wednesday afternoon.

The Ministry stated that the list of the martyrs included Brigadier General Ayman Mahmoud Jundiya (47 years old), the acting police chief of Gaza Governorate.

The targeting also killed 43-year-old Colonel Osama Hashem Al-Hajin, director of operations for the Gaza Governorate Police, and 42-year-old Colonel Fatina Abdel-Jabbar Al-Sahhar, the director of the Women’s Police Department in Gaza Governorate.

The list also included 47-year-old Colonel Ibrahim Abdel-Rahman Tamraz, 47-year-old Colonel Alaa Ali Aliyan, 52-year-old Lieutenant Colonel Hazem Jabr Khalaf, 42-year- old Major Othman Shehata Abu Sam’an, and Lieutenant 39-year-old Samaher Misbah Hamada.

Thirteen-year-old Dana Haitham Al-Jamasi, a displaced person living near the targeted station was also killed.

The Ministry of Interior condemned the “brutal massacre,” asserting that it is part of a series of Israeli crimes and ongoing assassinations targeting leaders and officers of the civilian police force.

It emphasized that the attacks against its personnel are part of the occupation’s efforts to dismantle the police force and spread chaos in the Gaza Strip according to Quds Press.
