Nasrallah: ‘No Lebanon-Gaza Separation’

CEOSSFIREARABIA – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his military establishment led by Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi are determined to separate the Lebanese and the Gaza fronts.
To do that the Israelis are bombing Lebanon in all sorts of directions right, left and center, in the south of the country, its east and of course, southern Beirut – considered the prime Hezbollah stronghold – as hard as they can to achieve their illusive objectives which are nowhere near to being realized.
Israeli air raids, bombings, killing of civilians and murder of claimed Hezbollah fighters have increased in the last 48 hours with death knocking on the door of the Lebanese. Last Monday alone Israeli warplanes killed 274 people and injured 1024 in 1100 air raids all over Lebanon with the number of those killed rising daily.
But in contrast, Hezbollah attacks – through missiles and drones – have been tough on northern Israel including its cities like Haifa, Tel Aviv, in the Galilee, Safad, Jewish colonies/settlements and military bases have continued non-stop where reports of fires, deaths and hundreds of thousands hiding in underground shelters.
Secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah has been very clear in his approach. In this escalation which started last week through the so-called pager and wireless massacre when Israeli killed around 3000 people in the southern neighborhood of Beirut, Hezbollah quickly regrouped and started firing on the north and center of Israel in unexpected moves.
He said there will be no separation between the Lebanese and Gaza fronts until the Israeli military machine stops bombing Gaza once-and-for-all. Hezbollah and Gaza has long become an unparalleled equation, he maintains. The war must stop in Gaza so that Fadi I, Fadi II and more recently Fadi III as well as more missiles stop landing on the different and sensitive areas of Israel.
However he tried to be reasonable saying that if a settlement is reached within the Palestinian groups and be acceptable to them his party would stop firing on Israel. Nasarallah couldn’t be more clearer than that.
Meanwhile the ‘trading over the border escalation’ between Hezbollah and the Israeli warplanes continues with missile swaps and bombs continuing. Despite the war utterings from certain quarters, Israel doesn’t want a northern front as their leaders keep saying and is not expected to start a ground troop offensive into southern Lebanon because of what is being termed as their ‘debilitating’ ability and exhaustion of their soldiers after their nearly 12 months of fighting in Gaza.
But in this respect too, Nasrallah has been clear too saying if the Israeli army wants to enter south Lebanon, Hezbollah would be ready for them, going all the way of inviting them to invade and see the real force of the resistance in Lebanon that had been fighting Israel, albeit on a ‘low level’ since Israel started its war and onslaught on the Gaza Strip soon after 7 October, 2023.
All indications suggest Israeli will not be able to separate this front from the Gaza one. Though Israeli planes are in a state of bombing momentum believing if they bomb certain regions of Lebanon fiercely enough, and aim to kill their top caders by bombing south Beirut, Hezbollah will eventually give up by themselves and wrap up the war.
But the situation is particularly fluid, neither side is budging from their positions. With Hezbollah termed to be recruiting 40,000 fighters from Iraq, Syria and Yemen, it insists that this front is their to support Gaza while Netanyahu refuses to accept a ceasefire deal on the enclave.
Both parties are in “military deadlock”, while a third party, the Biden administration, is walking in the middle. Its officials right from US president Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other lowley staff stated many times they want a deal on Gaza, and don’t want the war to spread to the region, to Lebanon, possibly Iraq, Syria and even Yemen which have been up till now low key operators.
In this war first on Gaza, and now developing into Lebanon, the US has been a constant behind-the-scene player, politicking in Lebanon through its special envoy and Qatar and Egypt acting as mediators in the past months to work a ceasefire that didn’t work mainly through Israeli intransigence, Washington must take much of the blame.
This is because Washington has been a constant supplier of weapons to the Israelis in this war right after 7 October, 2023 through an active air and sea bridge to Tel Aviv. It has, till this day, been providing Israeli with technical advice on the conduct of the war with at least 2000 US military personell and many would argue, the United States has not been forceful enough with Netanyahu who worked to disrupt the talks and make sure the war on Gaza continues.
With the war switching to the Lebanese-Israeli border, it seems that the US would continue to supply Israel with weapons, increase its intransigence even further, keep up the Hamas-Hezbollah ante up and suck the regional into an even bigger regional war.
Hassan Nasrallah Vows ‘Hell’ For Israel

Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah vowed to turn Israel’s actions into a “hell”, Thursday, after the group suffered a “severe blow” when communication devices were detonated earlier this week in Lebanon.
Nasrallah made the remarks during a televised speech to address the explosions that killed 37 people and injured thousands.
“We admit we have received a severe blow which is natural as we acknowledge Israel’s technological superiority, backed by the US, NATO, and the West,” said Nasrallah. “The Israeli enemy sought to kill 5,000 people within just two minutes, showing no regard for anything.”
“The number of pagers carried by Hezbollah members is 4,000, which implies that Israel intentionally sought to kill 4,000 people,” he said.
The explosions “will be met with a just retribution, severe reckoning, timing, place, the nature of which we will determine,” said Nasrallah.
He warned Israel that if it establishes a security belt on Lebanese territory, “it will be turn into a trap and a hell.”
Nasrallah added that multiple investigative commissions were formed to examine the circumstances of the explosions and they have reached a nearly definitive conclusion, but the Lebanese resistance group is awaiting confirmation.
He noted that the severity of eye injuries from the explosions “has placed significant pressure on hospitals in Lebanon.”
Furthermore, Nasrallah pointed out that many of the explosions occurred in hospitals, markets, public roads and homes – areas predominantly inhabited by civilians, including children and women.
His speech coincided with the intensive flights of Israeli warplanes flying at low altitude over the Lebanese capital, Beirut, breaking the sound barrier multiple times, Anadolu reporter said.
The Hezbollah chief considered the blasts to be a natural occurrence, stating: “This is the nature of war and conflict. We know that our enemy has a technological superiority because America stands behind it, along with NATO and the West.”
He emphasized: “the Lebanese front will not stop until the war on Gaza stops.”
Nasrallah noted that senior Hezbollah leaders do not carry the type of pager devices that exploded on Tuesday, asserting that the resistance’s structure “remains large and cohesive.”
Nasrallah concluded his speech by affirming that what occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday will be met with “just retribution and severe reckoning,” indicating that Hezbollah “will determine the timing, place, and nature of the response.”
At least 37 people were killed and nearly 3,000 others injured on Tuesday and Wednesday in explosions that targeted thousands of wireless communication devices across the country.
There has been no Israeli comment on the blasts, which came amid an escalation in cross-border warfare between Israel and Hezbollah since the start of Israel’s deadly war on the Gaza Strip, which has killed nearly 41,300 people, mostly women and children, following a cross-border attack by Hamas last Oct. 7.
Hezbollah Promises to Hit Back For Israeli Attack on Beirut

Israel may have finally carried out its threat with its deadly military strike, Tuesday, on the southern suburb of Beirut.
The strike as reported by the media is devastating with pictures of large explosions trending on the social media.
Different scenarios are being draw up. Reports range from the strike being near the Hezbollah Shura headquarters, a nearby hospital and an apartment in a building belonging Fouad Shukr, a senior director of the Hezbollah’s missile accuracy project and a senior advisor to Hassan Nasrallah.
Reports also say the target through an Israeli drone with missiles was aimed at the Rabie building in Haret Hreik, a Hezbollah stronghold. The building subsequently collapsed with at least two people reported killed.
Lebanese sources four say floors were leveled to the ground with rescue and ambulance crews continuing to remove the rubble and transport the injured with the number of injuries initially rising to 10.
However, the injuries continued to rise with a four killed and 80 injured including six children that arrived at the Bahman hospital.
While Israeli sources point to the success of the operation Hezbollah denies that Shukr was targeted and killed. The Israeli army said it targeted the commander responsible for the military operation on a school in Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights in which 12 children were killed, Saturday.
An Israeli military source said: “This is our response to the shooting of Majdal Shams…we have no intention of starting an all-out war. If Hezbollah does not respond, the event will end.”
But people in the southern suburb of Beirut are up-in-arms. They are calling for retaliation with chats of support for Hezbollah and its chief Hassan Nasrallah who is promising to hit back at Israel. He has already warned that if Beirut and the southern suburbs are hit, Tel Aviv will also be hit.
And this suggests that this is the beginning of escalation between Hezbollah and Israel that could lead to an all-out war.
Nasrallah Warns Israel Not to Invade Lebanon

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant threatened Hezbollah, Wednesday, with a potential ground invasion of Lebanon that would “be rapid, surprising and decisive,” Israeli media reported.
“We can swiftly shift our main effort from the south to the north in an instant,” Gallant said during a visit to the northern border, according to the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper as reported in Anadolu news.
In response Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, Wednesday pledged, his group’s fighters would wipe out the Israeli army’s tanks should they invade Lebanon reports the Lebanese website naharnet.
Such talk is happening when there are reports the Israeli army is running out of tanks and munitions and manpower as it continues its 10-month war on Gaza.
According to The New Arab a significant number of tanks have been damaged or are completely out of service amid its Gaza offensive, Israel military sources suggest but they did not reveal the exact number, Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported.
Nasrallah commented “if your tanks come to Lebanon and its south, you will not suffer from a shortage of tanks, because you will no longer have tanks.”
Making his comments at the end of Ashoura commemorations he warned if Israeli strikes continue on southern Lebanon, Hezbollah will target new settlements in Israel which have not been hit before.
Hezbollah has vowed to keep up its retaliatory attacks on Israel so long as it continues its deadly onslaught on Gaza which began soon after 7 October, 2023.
He said Israel has continued to pay a heavy toll because of its aggression on Gaza.
“The toll includes 9,254 individuals, among them officers and soldiers, with 3,000 amputees, 650 paralyzed, 185 completely blind, and several thousands suffering severe psychological trauma,” he said.
“Our front in Lebanon will remain active as long as the aggression against Gaza, its people, and its resistance continues in all its forms,” Nasrallah asserted and as reported by Press TV.
