Yossi Hadar: ‘Netanyahu Lost The War to Hamas’

Israeli political analyst Yossi Hadar, in the Jewish Maariv newspaper, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lost the war to Hamas, and instead of signing a prisoner exchange deal with it, he is trying to drag Israel into a war of attrition that will keep him in power.

The analyst harshly criticized Netanyahu for trying to dismiss Defense Minister Yoav Galant, describing it as a political move to preserve his position, ignoring the military failures in the Hamas attack of 7 October, 2023.

The writer began his article by referring to the operation attributed to Israel of blowing up the wireless devices in Lebanon and Syria, which resulted in the death of 32 Lebanese and the wounding of hundreds, according to the latest statistics.

“If the attribution of this operation to Israel is correct, it reveals another aspect of Israel’s enormous military capabilities, but at the same time it could bring us closer to a real war with Hezbollah, while the war in Gaza continues, the Houthis attacks on Israel, and Iranian threats continue, with operations growing in the West Bank and inside Israel,” he added.

The analyst accused Netanyahu of deliberately prolonging the war for political reasons, ignoring the serious security implications for Israel, and described him as the most failed prime minister in Israel, and that he “is leading an approach of political baseness and exhaustion and implementing a Machiavellian plot aimed at tightening control over the country by pushing the public to despair.”

Hadar stressed that Netanyahu’s escalation in the north is “the way Netanyahu seeks to maintain his rule, not in order to do something beneficial for the citizens of Israel, but only for his personal and political interests, just so he can continue to exhaust us.”

Political Maneuver

The writer then went on to assert that Netanyahu’s attempt to dismiss Galant is part of a political maneuver aimed at strengthening his power, rather than addressing the military failures that were evident in the 7 October attack, which puts Israel in a weak position in the face of the growing threats.

“All this does not prevent Netanyahu from hatching a plot to overthrow the defense minister at this critical moment for the security of the state, and in the midst of a war that could expand,” he said.

He explained Netanyahu’s move as a bid to replace his defense minister because of his opposition to the Haredi conscription law that the Orthodox parties insist on, in exchange for appointing the head of the Right-wing Israel Party, Gideon Sa’ar, because the latter will pass this law, referring to Sa’ar’s volatility, who was previously quoted as saying, “If you want Netanyahu as prime minister, don’t vote for me.”

Hadar also denied Netanyahu’s followers’ marketing of the reason for Galant’s dismissal as a “weak leftist,” saying that Galant himself offered, just four days after the 7 October attack, to attack Hezbollah as a preemptive move, but Netanyahu refused, in a state of panic over the events.

The writer recalled that Netanyahu is the one who divided Israel by leading “an attempted coup against the judicial system that he created before 7 October,” and he is the one who brought upon Israel “the catastrophe of 7 October,” and now he is dragging another catastrophe by dragging Israel into a war of attrition.

He said, “Instead of waging a short and intense war, he chose a dangerous and failed war of attrition that goes against all strategic logic, and dragged Israel into the worst state it has been since its founding, because what matters is only the logic of political survival,” according to Jordan24.

Palestinian Resistance Kill 4 Israeli Soldiers in Rafah Ambush

Four Israeli soldiers were killed in an ambush set up by the resistance in the south of the Gaza Strip. Also the resistance also carried out a qualitative operation against the Israeli occupation forces in the southern Gaza and bombed the sorrounding Israeli towns.

The Israeli media reported that four Israeli soldiers were killed in an ambush set up by the Qassam Brigades, the Hamas military wing in the southern city of Rafah Tuesday afternoon.

As well al Jihad Quds Brigades stated it “destroyed a Zionist Merkava tank east of Rafah by detonating a highly explosive barrel bomb,” and published scenes of its shelling of the cities of Ashkelon and Sderot, north of the Gaza envelope, with a barrage of rockets according to Al Jazeera.

Meanwhile, Hamas stated the occupation army committed a new massacre “by carrying out a brutal and intensive shelling that included a residential area crowded with residents east of the Al-Bureij camp, which led to the destruction of a number of homes over the heads of their residents and the deaths and injuries of dozens.”

The Gaza Ministry of Health also announced that the occupation forces committed, in the past 24 hours, three massacres in the enclave, of which 26 martyrs and 84 wounded arrived at hospitals, bringing the number of victims, since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza to 41,252 martyrs and 95,497 wounded.

In turn, Al Jazeera reported the martyrdom of journalist Mohammed Abu Shawqa in a bombing that targeted his home in Al-Bureij camp, and the recovery of the body of a martyr from the Wadi Gaza area, north of Al-Nuseirat camp, also in the central Strip.

Hamas confirmed “these heinous and repeated crimes show that the Israeli army  insist on its extermination war and the direct and deliberate targeting of defenseless civilians, amidst reprehensible global silence and a state of complete paralysis of the international system.”

It stressed “these ongoing massacres against the people of Gaza, which are being committed with the complicity and support of the US administration and western capitals, will not weaken the resolve and steadfastness of our Palestinian people or succeed in subduing their resistance, or bring the fascist Zionist clique closer to achieving the goals of its brutal aggression.”

With significant US support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has left more than 136,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine.

In disregard of the international community, Israel continues this war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Sinwar Praises The Yemeni ‘Hypersonic Missile’ on Tel Aviv

Abdul-Malik Al Houthi, leader of the Houthi Ansar Allah group in Yemen, received a special message from the Hamas political bureau Chief Yahya Sinwar, in which the latter blessed the launch of a ballistic missile that reached the heart of Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Sinwar expressed his elation for the Houthis’ support for the Palestinian resistance in its Flood of Al-Aqsa battle as according to what was reported by Houthi-affiliated media outlets.

Sinwar blessed the success of the military operation, coming in the fifth phase of the escalation with the missile striking deep into the Israeli entity while bypassing all layers and systems of defense and interception. He noted the operation restored what he termed as the glow of the Flood of Al-Aqsa Battle and its impact on the heart of Jaffa “Tel Aviv” once again.

Genocide’s Failure

Sinwar stressed the steps to contain and neutralize the resistance fronts being carried out under American supervision have failed, just as the genocide war against the Palestinian people has failed.

He stressed the successful operation sent a clear message to the enemy that the impact of the so-called “support fronts” have started to take a more effective direction, and greater impact on the path to resolve the battle in favor of our free and proud peoples.

The political bureau chief praised what he called the heroes of Yemen as developing creatively their military capabilities till they have reached the Israeli depth.

Sinwar sent greetings to the great Yemeni people: “Throughout its history, Yemen has always supported our Palestinian people and their just cause, and its fields continue to witness weekly actions in support of the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa.”

On the current Gaza humanitarian situation, Sinwar to two facts: The state of pain and severe suffering as a result of the Nazi aggression, genocide, siege and starvation, which requires all the sons of the nation to support and stand by it, and the state of valiant resistance led by the Qassam Brigades, which waged the 7 October attack with unparalleled competence, and waged a defensive battle throughout an entire year that exhausted and inflicted heavy losses on the enemy.

At the end of the message he confirmed the resistance is well and what the Israeli enemy is announcing is nothing but lies and psychological warfare, stressing the resistance prepared itself to fight a long battle of attrition that will break the enemy’s political will, just as the Al-Aqsa flood is breaking its military will.

He also stressed combining efforts with Yemen and the valiant resistance in Lebanon and Iraq will break this enemy and defeat it on the path to expelling it from the land of Palestine.

New Hypersonic Missile

Sunday, Yemeni military spokesman, Brigadier-General Yahya Saree, announced the implementation of a qualitative operation during which “an Israeli military site in the Jaffa area in occupied Palestine was targeted.”

In a statement, he confirmed that this operation comes as a victory for the injustice of the Palestinian people.

He pointed out the operation was carried out with a new “hypersonic” ballistic missile, and it succeeded in reaching its target while stressing the failure of Israeli defenses to confront or intercept it.

He pointed out the missile traveled a distance of 2,040 kilometers in 11 and a half minutes, and it caused a state of fear and panic among the Israelis, as more than two million Israelis headed to shelters for the first time in Israel’s history according to Al Ghad TV.

Military Angle: Ending Hamas After 1 Year Wrong

Military expert Maj-Gen Fayez Al-Duwairi said the Israeli army’s talk about needing another year to eliminate the capabilities of Hamas is inaccurate.

He pointed out there is a need to differentiate between the political entity of the Islamic Resistance Movement and its military wing represented by the Al-Qassam Brigades.

Al-Duwairi added on Al Jazeera when the occupation army speaks, it means the military wing of Hamas, stressing that even these brigades cannot be eliminated in the said period.

The military expert described the occupation army’s talk is at best “optimistic.” He pointed to previous Israeli military reports that stated it would take years to achieve this goal.

He emphasized eliminating Al-Qassam will not be an easy task  because it has already succeeded in rebuilding its forces and rotating its power in the last months through the Israeli missiles that were fired on Gaza but didn’t explode, the number of which equal 10 percent and estimated at about 9 tons so far according to Al-Duwairi.

He concluded stopping the firing of missiles from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli cities “will remain out of reach even if the occupation army says otherwise.”

Regarding the occupation army’s talk that the Black Hawk helicopter crashed (reported Wednesday) in Rafah due to technical and/or human malfunction, Al-Duwairi said this does not rule out the military factor.

This is because it crashed at night while transporting a wounded person from a combat zone. He said that the helicopter may have been exposed to gunfire from the resistance, which forced the pilot to act in a way that brought down the plane even if it was not hit.

Israeli Army Kills 3 Captives, Hides The Fact!

The Israeli army mistakenly killed three of its captives, including two soldiers, during a raid on Gaza in December 2023 and concealed it from the public, local media reported Monday.

Israel’s Channel 12 said the three Israeli captives – Nik Beizer, Ron Sherman and Elia Toledano – were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a senior military leader of the Palestinian group Hamas in northern Gaza.

According to the channel, the Israeli army did not know there were Israeli captives present along with the Hamas leader but has known the details of their deaths since February but chose not to publicize them.

In mid-December, the army said it retrieved the bodies of three Israelis from a tunnel who were captured alive by Hamas on Oct. 7 last year.

Commenting on the report, Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari said the army is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the three Israelis and will present the results to their families according to Anadolu.

Similar incidents of killing Israeli captives were announced by the army in the course of its devastating bombardments across the Gaza Strip since 7 October, 2023.

Israel estimates that over 100 hostages are still being held by Hamas in Gaza, some of whom are believed to have been already killed.

Israel’s ongoing war on the Gaza Strip has killed nearly 41,100 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured nearly 94,800 others, according to local health authorities.

An ongoing blockade of the enclave has led to severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, leaving much of the region in ruins.

Israel faces accusations of genocide for its actions in Gaza at the International Court of Justice.
