Israel Prevents The Athan in Al Ibrahimi Mosque

CROSSFIREARABIA – The Israeli occupation has banned the Muslim call of prayer (Athan) in the Al Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron now for the last eight days according to Hafthi Abu Sneini, former director of the compound. He said this measure is part of a policy of restrictions the Israeli occupation is imposing on the mosque and those who go and pray there. Abu Sneini added the Israelis impose total control since the keys to the mosque are their hands and they control the Athan room. He pointed out the Israelis are preventing the director and the “caretakers” of the mosque from entering the mosque for 12 days to prevent what they are documenting they “Judization” process they are imposing on the Islamic compound.

UNICEF: 260 Children Killed in Gaza

UNICEF spokesperson James Elder said that more than 260 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire began in October 2025, describing the truce as “a cruel and deadly illusion”.

Elder added that the territory is living “under a so called ceasefire,” noting that an average of one child is killed every day despite the truce being in place.

He explained that Gaza’s children “appear to be constantly unwell,” stressing that although the risk of famine has declined, the food aid entering the enclave remains insufficient in both quantity and quality.

Jerusalem: 75,000 Prayed at Al Aqsa, Friday

Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, despite the obstacles and stringent measures imposed by the Israeli occupation. The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem (affiliated with Jordan) reported 75,000 worshippers performed Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Jerusalem sources that tens of thousands flocked to the Al-Aqsa Mosque since the early morning hours, while occupation forces imposed strict measures in its vicinity. Large numbers of troops were deployed at the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, and dozens of metal barriers were erected throughout the city, within the Old City, and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. Dozens of young men were detained and their identities checked.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque compound is subjected daily, except on Fridays and Saturdays, to a series of violations and incursions by settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, in an attempt to impose complete control over the mosque and divide it both temporally and spatially. Quds Press

‘Lebanon is The Graveyard of Israeli Prime Ministers’ – Gabi Eisenkot

Lebanon has been the graveyard for Israeli prime ministers, from Menachem Begin to Ehud Olmert and now Benjamin Netanyahu according to ex-chief-of-staff Gabi Eisenkot and Netanyahu’s rival in the upcoming elections.

In a Yediot Aharonot article, Eisenkot wrote: “Netanyahu’s attempt to cover up the 7th October debacle by claiming military achievements, has collapsed; he is prepared to do anything, even sacrifice a kidney, to ensure the formation of a political commission of inquiry to support him.”

“Lebanon has been a political graveyard for prime ministers, from Menachem Begin to Ehud Olmert, and now Netanyahu is mired in its own quagmire,” he emphasized.

“We hear Netanyahu is threatening to expel Haim Katz from the Likud party, while if he ran alone without the party, he wouldn’t win more than 10 seats. Even David Ben-Gurion, a far greater figure, failed in his experiment with the Rafi party,” Eisenkot added.

Gadi Eisenkot served as Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces between 2015 till 2019 and is known as the architect of the “Dahiya Doctrine,” which relies on the use of disproportionate force and the implementation of a policy of “collective punishment” against the civilian population supporting any armed movement targeting the State of Israel. The aim is to inflict damage that necessitates lengthy and costly reconstruction efforts.

In 2022, he entered politics, serving as a minister in the emergency government, where he emerged as one of the most prominent figures in the Israeli opposition. Quds Press.
